Box Score #15 Tarleton State scored runs in each of the first four innings Friday night in taking the first game of the weekend 7-1 over UT Permian Basin softball at the TSU Softball Complex in Stephenville, Texas.

The TexAnns used a three-run second inning with RBI in consecutive at bats by Georgia Capell, Meghann Wrinkle and Nyka Wood to go ahead 4-0 after two innings.

Lizzie Souza grabbed a run for the Falcons in the top of the third inning, scoring April Arellano with a base hit down the left field line.

Megan Durante capped the scoring for TSU with a pair of solo shot home runs in the fourth and sixth innings.She led Tarleton State with a 3-3 day at the plate, scoring twice and driving in a pair of runs.

The teams close out the regular season Saturday afternoon, with first pitch of the doubleheader scheduled for 1 p.m.
