Box Score UT Permian Basin softball held the #9 team in the nation scoreless through the first four innings of action Friday night, but Angelo State scored three runs in each the fifth and sixth innings in a 6-0 win over the Falcons at Mayer Stadium in San Angelo, Texas.
Morgan Hill improved to 17-4 in the circle for the Rambelles, pitching a complete game no-hitter on the night for Angelo State and just allowing a pair of baserunners all night.
Maritza Rojas limited Angelo State in the first half of the game, blanking ASU over the first four innings.
Angelo State scored three unearned runs in the bottom of the fifth and added three more runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Adrianna Berzoza reached to lead off the top of the fifth on an infield error, and Rojas drew an intentional walk with two outs later in the fifth.
The teams close out the weekend set Saturday afternoon with a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
