The UT Permian Basin men's soccer team fell to St. Mary's 4-0 on Thursday in San Antonio in a rainy affair.

The Rattlers (8-3-3, 6-3-2) came out firing at the Falcon (1-13-1, 0-10-1) defense registering four shots in the first 10 minutes of action.  Danny Lugo had two shots on goal while Oscar Canela added another shot on goal in the first half.  The Falcon defense held the Rattlers scoreless with Michael Nweke stopping all five shots on goal in the first half.  The teams went into the half scoreless.

The scoreless tie would be broken in the 48th minute.  After being awarded a penalty kick, Pato Botello Faz hit the back of the net to give the Rattlers the 1-0 lead.  Just a few minutes later Ollie Wright would score to make it 2-0.  Botello Faz would score again and Aidan Henry would score to make it 4-0 which would hold to be the final.  Nweke finished with seven saves in net while Lugo led the Falcons with two shots on goal.

The Falcons continue their road trip against Texas A&M International on Saturday. They wrap up the season next week with a road game at West Texas A&M before finishing th season at home against Lubbock Christian on Saturday.
