Arial Roybal turned UT Permian Basin's fortunes around quickly Friday night at the UTPB Turf Field, connecting on a free kick from outside the box for the first goal of the night to send UT Permian Basin to a 1-0 overtime victory over Eastern New Mexico Friday night in Lone Star Conference action.

The Greyhounds dominated the offensive attack through the first 90 minutes of regulation, putting on 17 shots to two for UTPB, but the Falcons got the only shot attempt in overtime. The Falcons received a free kick five yards outside the top of the 18-yard box after a foul in the fifth minute of overtime, and Roybal's free kick deflected off of the outstretched hands of the Eastern New Mexico goalkeeper and caught the edge of the net inside of the right post for the game-winner.

Chenoa Crites stepped up in net for UTPB, making 12 saves on a cold and rainy night in Odessa in earning her first clean sheet of the season.

The Falcons remain at home this weekend, hosting West Texas A&M Sunday afternoon for a 1 p.m. conference match.
