Four different Angelo State players scored Wednesday night as Angelo State grabbed a 4-1 win over UT Permian Basin women's soccer in the Lone Star Conference opener for both teams at the UTPB Turf Field.
Tiffany Dang scored the first of the night in the 13th minute for the Belles from the left side of the box.
Elizabeth Rodriguez knocked in a loose corner kick in front of the UTPB goal for ASU nine minutes later for a 2-0 Angelo State lead.
Scarlett Real scored her first of the season for the Falcons minutes before halftime, knocking in a cross from the right side by
Lauren Marenco to pull UTPB within 2-1 at 41:18 of the first half.
Trenadey Scott and Cassandra Moosburger added goals in he second half for Angelo State.
ASU held a 23-8 shot lead, placing 16 balls on net while the Falcons made five shots on goal.
Chenoa Crites was a vacuum in front of the UTPB goal, making 12 saves on the night.
UTPB is back on the road this weekend, traveling to Wichita Falls, Texas, for a Saturday afternoon match against Midwestern State.
