Jessica Gonzales singled in the bottom of the ninth with two outs to drive in the game-winning run as UT Permian Basin softball went the distance and a little more in a 4-3, nine-inning win Saturday afternoon over Texas A&M - Kingsville.

The Falcons, trailing 3-0 after the top of the fourth, scored the final four runs of the day. Ashlynn Williams got things started in the bottom of the fourth by driving in starting pitcher Chelsae Faries for the teams first run of the game.

Adrianna Berzoza scored Alyssa Lopez in the bottom of the fifth to trail by a run, but the Falcons tied the game when Berzoza later scored on a wild pitch to even the game at 3-3.

Gonzales scored the next and final run of the game four innings later in the second extra inning, driving home Lizzie Souza for the game's winning-run.

Chelsae Faries went the distance for the Falcons, allowing an pair of earned runs off of eight hits and a walk in nine innings while striking out seven.
