Texas A&M Commerce scored once in each half Friday night in sending UT Permian Basin women's soccer to a 2-0 defeat at the UTPB Turf Field.
Jessika Coronado put the Lions on the scoreboard in the 10th minute off of a corner kick from Leslie Campuzano.
Campuzano added a second assist in the second half on Sophie Haywood's strike from close distance at 67:23.
TAMC held a 17-8 shot advantage on the evening, with 12 balls on goal to two for the Falcons, one each by
Deonna Green and
Hannah Navarro.
Chenoa Crites made 10 saves in net for UT Permian Basin.
UTPB closes out its 2017 season Sunday afternoon against Texas Woman's and will honor its senior class. Kick off is scheduled at the UTPB Turf Field at 1 p.m.
