Chenoa Crites tied her season high in saves Friday night, but a first half goal was all West Texas A&M needed for a 1-0 shutout of UTPB in Canyon, Texas. The game started over an hour late due to lightning in the area.
Lauren Burk scored her first of the season for the Lady Buffs, giving the home team the lead at 37:34 late in the first half on a through ball by Marlene van Mourik.
Crites made 12 saves on the day after facing 24 total attempts by WTAMU.
