Falcons Nab a Pair of Wins After Winter Break over McMurry

UTPB Men's and Women's Swimming got back in the pool after an extended winter break to grab a pair of wins over McMurry 156-77 on the women's side, and 145-86 by the men.

Three different Falcon men had a pair of individual wins on the afternoon. Steffen Buttner won the 200 freestyle in 1:48.14, and came back to take the 100 freestyle win with a time of 49.02. Gustavo Damis won the 50 backstroke in 25.92, and was first in 55.62 in the 100 backstroke. Nathan Pantalion won the 50 breaststroke in 28.57 and won the 100 breaststroke in 1:00.91. UTPB added individual wins from Matthew Hayward in the 100 freestyle in 10:20.95, Jeremy Pantalion in 53.56 in the 100 butterfly, and Leonardo Souza in the 50 freestyle in 22.24. Damis, Mau Craig, Jeremy Pantalion and Brandon Hay combined to win the 200 medley relay in 1:39.75.

The Falcon women had three individuals pick up two wins on the day. Hunter Bishop won the 200 freestyle in 2:01.69, and took first in the 100 freestyle in 56.27. Juliana Dias placed at the top of the 50 breaststroke in 35.23, and won the 50 butterfly in 30.09. Bailey Benson won the 1,000 freestyle in 11:35.87, and the 500 free in 5:37.05 .Three others added victories for the Falcons; Sammi Strohmeyer in 59.06 in the 100 butterfly, Sarah Waldren in the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.53, and Jennifer SItes in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:14.41. Sites, Anouk van Nellestijn, Amanda Alspaugh and Bishop won the 200 medley relay in 1:56.16
