Tainan Bagetti successfully converted his second penalty kick of the season early in the first half, and the goal stood up to be the game winner Thursday night as UT Permian Basin men's soccer held off Eastern New Mexico for a 1-0 Lone Star Conference victory in Portales, N.M.
Bagetti's PK was his third goal of the season and the senior midfielder has now scored all three goals in the prior four games.
UTPB held off a Greyhounds team that out-shot the Falcons 20-5 for the day as
Alec Sproule made five saves in net for his first shutout of the season.
UTPB is back in action Saturday afternoon, traveling to Canyon for a 1 p.m. contest at West Texas A&M.
