Angelo State women's soccer scored twice in the first half and ended the night with a pair of headers for goals in sending UT Permian Basin home with a 3-0 defeat in the Lone Star Conference opener for both teams Wednesday night in San Angelo, Texas.
Demi Tsambasis and Cynthia Andrews found the back of the net for Angelo State in the opening 45 minutes for Angelo State, and Tiffany Dang scored the second header of the game for ASU in the 60th minute.
Angelo State held a 23-6 shot lead on the night, placing 11 shots on net to one for the Falcons.
Katie Conn made eight saves in net for UTPB, and
Kessie Stocker led the team with a pair of shot attempts.
