UTPB Softball opened up its final conference weekend of the season with a pair of 5-4 and 3-0 losses on the road at St. Edward's in Austin.
The Falcons claimed a 3-2 lead following the top of the second when 
Miley McKee singled back up the middle to score 
JJ Von Oesen. 
Adrianna Berzoza followed with a two-run double that drove home McKee and 
Daisy Aguilar.
St. Edward's tied the game back up in the fifth, and each team scored one in the sixth, the Falcons coming on a double by McKee.
The Hilltoppers finally won in the bottom of the ninth as the benefactors of a throwing error for the 5-4 win.
St. Edward's blanked UTPB in game two, limiting UTPB to four hits.
Morgan Dufour drove in two of the team's three runs with a two-run home run in the third for the 3-0 lead.
Von Oesen led the Falcons with a 2-3 day at the plate.
UTPB and St. Edward's return to Diane Daniels Field tomorrow to close out the three game weekend at noon.
