Softball's Zoe Murillo has been named the Heartland Conference Hitter of the Week for March 14-20, the conference announced Monday afternoon.

Murillo led the Falcons with an .800 batting average (12-15) while driving in 12 runs and scoring nine times as UTPB went 3-2 on the road at University of the Southwest and Rogers State.

The junior catcher had at least two hits in every game, scored at least once and drove in at least one run in all five contests.

Murillo hit a home run and drove in five runs in the Falcons final game of the week Sunday afternoon at Rogers State.

She leads the team on the season with a .483 average and is second on the squad with 15 RBI and 13 runs scored.
