Moreira Carries Falcons to 2-1 Win over Oklahoma Christian

Rafael Moreira doubled up his goal total on the season Thursday night, scoring twice as the Falcons dropped Oklahoma Christian 2-1 in Heartland Conference action at the UTPB Turf Field.

Moreira tallied his first of the night and third of the season in the 41st minute, tying the game on assists by Tainan Bagetti and Raleigh Gregston.

He gave UTPB the lead early in the second half when his free kick cleared the Oklahoma Christian wall for his fourth of the season at 52:05.

UTPB goalkeeper Alec Sproule made seven saves on the night, including five in the second half as the Eagles attempted 11 shots and placed five on net unsuccessfully.

UTPB is back at home in two days, hosting Midwestern State Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
