Adams State scored two different times on both sides of halftime Sunday afternoon to shutout the UTPB women's soccer team 2-0 at the ASU Soccer Field in Alamosa, Colo.

Ashley Furbush converted a penalty kick at 43:27 of the first half to give the Grizzlies a 1-0 lead heading into intermission.

Hope Cruz scored for ASU in the fourth minute of the second half on an assist by Teagan Moore to give Adams State a 2-0 lead at 48:47.

Adams State held a 24-7 shot advantage on the afternoon, placing nine shots on goal to five for UTPB.

The Falcons stay on the road this coming week, traveling to Laredo for games against Texas A&M International and St. Mary's.
