Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Angelo State pitching shut down UTPB softball Tuesday night as the nationally-ranked Rambelles limited the Falcons to a lone run in defeating UTPB 6-0 and 12-1 at the UTPB Softball Field.

ASU put up four runs in the top of the second in the opener to take a 4-0 lead through two.

The Rambelles added two more in the top of the third for a 6-0 lead.

The Falcons held Angelo State scoreless over the final five frames, but ASU starter Kenedy Urbany held UTPB to five hits on the day in the complete game shutout.

 Angelo State scored in each of the first three innings in game two of the doubleheader to go on top 5-0.

Trailing 6-0, Miley McKee drove in the team's lone run on a double into right field that rolled into the foul territory behind first base to score Irene Valdez. McKee had two of the Falcons three hits in game two Tuesday night.

The Falcons host their first Heartland Conference series of the season this weekend when Texas A&M International comes to Odessa for a pair of games Friday afternoon and a third and final contest Saturday afternoon.
