Lubbock Christian Ends Falcon Home Season with 2-1 Loss

UTPB Men's Soccer dropped its final home game of the season Saturday afternoon, falling 2-1 to Lubbock Christian at the UTPB Soccer Field.

Six minutes after conceeding the first of the day to Corey Hutchison, Lupe Lima scored his first of the season to equal the score at 1-1 at 40:20 of the first half. Lima brought down a perfect cross from Nathan Cotterell and shot just to the right of the LCU goalkeeper for his first strike of the year.

Kwame Adu-Wusu came back for the Chaps in the second half, taking a bouncing goalkick that cleared a pack of players down on a breakaway to score past UTPB goalkeeper Justin Bryant in what proved to be the game-winning goal at 64:37.

The Falcons close out the regular season in non-conference action next week, taking on Midwestern State Monday night at 7 p.m. in Wichita Falls, Texas.
