Sevens proved to be lucky as St. Mary's scored seven times for the third straight game to defeat UTPB softball 7-0 Saturday afternoon at the UTPB Softball Field in Odessa.
The Ratlers led 1-0 through the first three innings off of a lead-off home run from Nicole Vidrine and built up a six run advantage with three more runs in the fourth and a pair in the fifth.
Five different players tallied a hit for UTPB and
Nikki Brailsford reached base twice with a hit and the team's only walk.
The Falcons remain at home this week, hostitng Tarleton State in non-conference action with a Tuesday afternoon doubleheader.
