A six-run bottom of the fourth broke a 1-1 tie and helped Texas A&M International to a 9-4 defeat of UTPB Softball Saturday afternoon at Dustdevil Field in Laredo, Texas.
UTPB rebounded from falling behind 1-0 in the bottom of the first to even the score at 1-1 in it's next trip to the plate.
Taleas Marble led off the second inning with a single to center, and pinch runner
Sidney Freeze scored on a two out single by
Miley McKee for the team's first run of the day.
The Dustdevils broke open the game in the bottom of the fifth, scoring six times, twice each on a double and home run, and added a pair in its last trip to the plate in the sixth.
The Falcons got a lone run in the bottom of the sixth on a Marble double to right to bring home
Jennie Quam from first, and UTPB added two more in the bottom of the seventh as
Aurora Burks homered for the second time in two days to score
Taylor Clancy.
UTPB is back home next weekend, hosting St. Mary's for three games Friday and Saturday.
