DENTON – Texas Woman's scattered 10 hits en route to a 10-2 victory over The University of Texas of the Permian Basin softball team. 
 
The Falcons picked up eight hits, including doubles by Courtney Cernoch and Anna Hollingsworth, but left six runners on base.  Hollingsworth finished with three hits on the day, while Cernoch and Katelyn Stanley both had two.  Tieifa Dueberry was the only other Falcon to reach safely with a hit. 
 
The Pioneers two runs in the first and third innings as well as a single run in the second.  They busted out with five runs in the fifth thanks to six hits and a UTPB error. 
 
UTPB, which has yet to play a home game, will head to Hobbs, N.M. Tuesday to face the University of Southwest followed by a matchup with Eastern New Mexico on Wednesday.  The Falcons will play their first home game of the year on March 7 when Eastern New Mexico comes to Odessa.
