The Falcons went 8-0 in the LSC during the 2023 season, winning the first conference championship in program history and 10-2 overall. UTPB beat three nationally ranked teams this season (Angelo State, Central Washington and Texas A&M Kingsville), had the first winning season in program history and hosted a first round game in the NCAA Division II Football Championships. All of this after being picked to finish seventh in the LSC pre-season poll.
