The freshman Gonzalez is off to a red-hot start to her first collegiate season.  Last week she added three hits to her total giving her eight on the season in six games, a team-high.  Hitting out of the leadoff spot she has a season batting average of .500 while scoring three times and driving in three runs.  Gonzalez has also stolen a pair of bases.
